The Wicked Ones

Aloha my wonderful merfolk,

Leslie Kay of Disneybound fame has created a clothing range with the help of Cakeworthy called ‘The Wicked Ones‘.  This clothing range has taken inspiration from Disney Villains and is very apt for the upcoming Halloween season. All of these items were Limited Edition and some sold out within the first few hours!

Black Flame Candle Raglan

BlackFlameRaglan

The first item in this new collection was this raglan shirt. The motif on the front was inspired by the film Hocus Pocus in which if the Black Flame Candle is lit, the Sanderson Sisters will come back and wreak havoc on Salem. This item is sadly sold out and it is unsure of if it will be restocked or not. I would have loved to have owned this piece of clothing as Hocus Pocus is one of my go-to Halloween classics.

Hitchhiking Ghosts Flannel

HitchhikingFlannel

This is the first flannel of the Wicked Ones collection. It’s inspiration comes from the Haunted Mansion; the epitome of spooky Disney. This was another item of the collection that sold out almost instantly and you can see why. Such a lovely colour for a checked shirt.

Hocus Pocus Flannel

HocusPocusFlannel

The second flannel shirt of the collection was this one, inspired by the film Hocus Pocus; an iconic Halloween Disney movie. Both of the flannels in this collection were unisex and could be worn fastened or left open on top of a vest top. Sadly, this Hocus Pocus inspired item sold out rather quickly and is no longer available on the website. Although seen as Limited Edition, we can only hope that they will be restocked. This is an item I would have been very excited to buy had I lived in the US and was not in bed during the release due to time difference (and also shipping costs make me sad).

Wicked Beanie

MaleficentBeanie

This is the first beanie hat of the Wicked One collection and takes inspiration from Maleficent; the villain from Sleeping Beauty. This item is still available and costs $25.00. This is roughly £16 here in the UK. Please be aware however that to have items shipped from the US to the UK, there may be a hefty customs charge to pay, either that or the shipping price in general will be sky high.

Cake x DB Logo Patch

Patch

This patch is the Cakeworthy and Disneybound logo for this clothing collection. It takes influence from the poison apple from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It is roughly 4 inches by 3 inches and can be ironed onto your clothes. The instructions to do can be found on the Disneybound tumblr. This item is still available at $4.99. This is roughly £3.21 here in the UK.

Sorcerer Beanie

SorcererBeanie

This is the second beanie in the Wicked Ones collection. This hat takes influence from the Sorcerers Apprentice which is a musical short in the movie Fantasia. This beanie is unfortunately sold out and it is unknown if it shall ever be restocked.

Cake x DB Logo Sticker

Sticker

This item looks very similar to the patch, except this is a logo sticker. Place this on your laptop, folders, files and notebooks. The sticker is approximately 4 inches by 2 inches. The sticker is still available and costs $1.99 which is roughly £1.28 here in the UK. Again, please be wary of shipping and/or custom charges when ordering from the US.

Glorious Morning Zip Pouch

ZipPouch

The final item in the Wicked Ones collection by Cakeworthy and Disneybound is this Glorious Morning Zip Pouch. This item is another from the collection that takes inspiration from Hocus Pocus. The Zip Pouch is 8.5 inches by 6 inches so could be big enough to fit your make-up in (depending on how much you like to carry). The print for this item appears on one side only. This Hocus Pocus inspired zip pouch is still available and costs $19.99 which is roughly £13.00 here in the UK.

Which item in this collection is your favourite? Which one would you be willing to pay a large shipping/custom fee for? Are you upset that some of the items in the collection are already sold out?

    1. It also sold out within like, an hour! It’s so sad that we can receive parcels from people in America and they don’t have to pay that much in postage yet companies charge an absolute fortune. It’s so silly!

      1. I can’t say I’m surprised that it sold out so quick. It’s ridiculous, just means we need to make good friends with people in America. They send us fabulous items like these, and we send them tons of items from Primark and Chocolate.

  1. Yeah, I have a pen pal who lives in Orlando and last year she sent me a bunch of Halloween candy. If it’s still in date I might do a blog post on it all haha! I actually need to send her a new package of Cadbury’s chocolate 😀

    1. My friend moved to Orlando when we were 12, now she lives elsewhere in Florida. Yes, that would be great, if it’s in date. I had a thought earlier, maybe with a little bit of creativity you could make yourself a flannel shirt with such design on the back with a Primark shirt and some fabric paint.

      1. Ooh yes, a DIY Cakeworthy flannel! I like (if I had much creativity, I’d be too scared of ruining the flannel). Yay, another blog post idea haha, just another to push in before Halloween, hah!

      2. That’s why you get a flannel from Primark, so it’s not expensive. Also, it depends on whether you want to make a stencil or go without. I’ve only worked with black fabric paint on white, so I don’t know how well white would work but it’s worth a go. Even I’m tempted to attempt my own, as flannel shirts are my thing.
