Aloha my wonderful merfolk,
So, here we go, the Disneyland Paris Tag!
1. When was your first trip and how many times have you been?
My first trip was way back in the Summer of 1999 and so far I think I have been about 7 times, if memory serves correctly. My 8th visit will be April 2016.
2. What Disney hotels have you stayed in? One you haven’t stayed in that you’d like too?
I have stayed in the Hotel Santa Fe (before the cars refurbishment) and Hotel Sequoia Lodge. I would love to be able to stay in all of Disney hotels in Paris, however I’d love to stay in the Disneyland Hotel at some point in my life, even if just for one night.
3. What’s your favourite restaurant?
The only sit down meals I’ve had in Disneyland Paris were the character breakfasts in Cafe Mickey in the village. I’d like to add a lot of the restaurants in Disneyland Paris to my to-do list though.
4. A restaurant you’d like to eat in that you haven’t yet?
Walt’s, Auberge de Cendrillon, Blue Lagoon … actually most restaurants in Disneyland Paris I want to try at some point.
5. What’s your favourite quick service/fast food?
Colonel Hathi’s is a place I remember eating when I was younger, then there’s Caseys and also Toad Hall.
6. What is your favourite shop?
The Christmas shop. Always makes me feel so festive, even when it’s not Christmas.
7. What is your favourite season or event?
My favourite season that I have seen so far on my vists to Disneyland Paris has been the Christmas season. I love being all wrapped up, hearing Christmas songs, seeing the decorations, Disney snow and the parades/cavalcades.
8. Disneyland Park or Walt Disney Studios?
9. What is your favourite ride in each park?
Disneyland Park is Big Thunder Mountain and in the Walt Disney Studios it would have to be Rock n Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith.
10. What is your favourite land in the Disneyland Park?
I’d have to say Frontierland as it has Big Thunder Mountain and Ohantom Manor.
11. What’s your favourite character to meet?
I always enjoy meeting Minnie Mouse as she has always been one of my favourites. A character I really want to meet is Merida!
12. What’s your best meet and greet experience?
One of the years I went to Disneyland Paris when I was younger, I took really ill. I couldn’t keep anything down, not even water. I was sitting on a bench in the Walt Disney Studios, looking a bit peaky with my mam giving me a hug, trying her best to cheer me up and make me feel better. Goofy is being escorted to what I assume was a proper meet and greet but he spotted me and came over to see why I was crying. He gave me the biggest of hugs and totally cheered me up and momentarily made me forget I was ill in my favourite place. That is what Disney magic is about. Making you feel better in times when you feel like nothing will cheer you up.
13. What’s your happiest or best Disneyland Paris memory?
This isn’t the happiest (you’ll see why) but it was definitely the funniest, one that sticks in my mind and one my dearest mother keeps reminding me about. My last trip to Disneyland Paris was for the 15th anniversary. My mam and myself were sitting in Restaurant En Coulisse having a mid-day snack. She went to open a mayonnaise packet, it split and the mayonnaise went flying through the air and landed straight in my hair and down my forehead. Safe to say she was sat there wetting herself with laughter whilst I wiped mayonnaise off my head and out of my hair.
I tag every Disneyland Paris fan out there to do this tag and show us your favourite things about our second home. What is your favourite thing about Disneyland Paris? Are you going back soon? If not, do you miss it?
