My Halloween Costume 2015!

Happy Halloween my wonderful merfolk!

Halloween is one of my favourite times of year and, although I’m 23, I still love to dress up. It gives me a chance to be someone, or something, different for one night out of the year!

This year, I get to share my costume with you lovely people!

So, without further ado, here is my 2015 Halloween costume!

So for Halloween 2015, I decided to be a pirate, but not any pirate, but an undead pirate! Little bit more interesting than an alive pirate for Halloween!

The top I bought off eBay about a year ago on a whim because I thought it looked pretty. I knew it was a good idea to keep it in my wardrobe! I can’t remember how much I paid for it but it wasn’t very much. The black skinny jeans are from Primark and were about £12 if I remember correctly!

I could not decide between these two pair of boots as to which would look better. The first pair are calf length black boots with a buckle. I got these from Primark a few years back and I think they were about £16. I have seen rather similar boots in Primark this winter. The second pair I bought on eBay for about £9 and are slightly more steampunk than the first pair. I decided to go with the first pair as the heel is smaller, which ended up being a good idea considering how much I drank.

The final touches to the costume are this sword and this pirate hat hairband from LuvYaBabes. I was originally going to get a pistol and a hat, however, non of the pistols looked very nice and non of the hats really felt like they fit my head properly. So, this headband and this sword will play the finishing touches to the costume.

The first section of the make-up is of course the foundation! I’ve gone for white so I can look like the undead. I bought this Laval white foundation and this Stargazer Loose Powder from LuvYaBabes. I’ve never used either before so it shall be interesting! The foundation was £1.00 and the powder was £3.99. The white foundation was rubbish but what did I expect for something so cheap! The powder was similar to talc powder and got everywhere but looked rather cool!

To put on the white poundation, I bought this pack of make-up sponges from Primark for £1. I just wanted something cheap to apply to foundation with as I don’t want to ruin my beauty blender.

The second part to my costume is this black lipstick. Again, I bought this from LuvYaBabes and from my receipt only cost me 29p. Absolute bargain considering I decided not to use it as my lips are an odd shape and it was too dark for the look I eventually wanted.

The final step of my make-up was the slit throat effect. I bought this fake blood from LuvYaBabes fancy dress shop for £1.99 and this cheap eyeliner pen from Primark for £1. I will use the eyeliner to draw on the neck wound.

So this was my finished make-up look. I was running late so I forgot to take progress pics but I shall describe what I did. I applied my usual foundation and put a few layers of the white powder on top. I then used black eyeshadow on my eyelids, blending it into brown just above my eyelids. I used a white eyeshadow to highlight under my eyebrows once I had filled them in. I then did my usual winged eyeliner and added mascara. Finally, I used black eyeshadow on my lips to give off a more dead look! I didn’t have time to do the neck wound unfortunately.
