Happy 15th Birthday Lady And The Tramp 2!

Aloha my wonderful merfolk!

Another February birthday for a Disney movie. This time it is Lady and the Tramp 2: Scamp’s Adventure which turns 15.

I had this movie on VHS and actually really enjoyed it when I was younger; although I will always prefer the original more. I can’t remember the last time I watched this sequel so may have to add it to my watch list, just so I can see it again!

Firstly, let me share with you the Official Sountrack for Lady and the Tramp 2!

  1. This is the second Disney movie to have Roger Bart and Susan Egan as the singing voices of the love interests, the first one being Hercules.
  2. Two of the actors in this film previous worked on Ariel from The Little Mermaid. Jodi Benson, the voice of Lady, was the original voice of Ariel and Alyssa Milano, the voice of Angel, served as a model reference for the creation and design for Ariel.
  3. The dogcatcher’s wagon that injured Trusty in the first film is seen on top of one of the trash piles in the junkyard.
  4. Despite the 1998 VHS release of the first film, it was supposed to be released in 2000, but it was pushed to February 27, 2001.
  5. Joanna Romersa, an animation timing director for this film, was a Disney Trainee for the production of the original one, invited by Jeannine and Darrell to work on this film.
  6. The scene where Angel and Scamp have a spaghetti dinner is a direct reference of Lady and Tramp’s dinner scene.
  7. Angel and Scamp are the same type of dog, unlike their predecessors, Lady and Tramp.
  8. For an unknown reason, Angel’s left ear is folded
  9. Scamp has more American Cocker Spaniel in him than terrier due to a few scenes where Tramp takes the chains off him he is lighter coloured, when he flops his ears down a couple of times his ears are seen to be longer than Tramp’s and his fur size matches Lady’s.
  10. In Lady and the Tramp II, Scamp appears to be the smallest one due to the ending where his sisters are seen to be taller than him though this might not be so as Scamp has a habit of slouching or hunching his shoulders

I definitely feel like I need to watch this sequel again. Have you seen this film? Did you enjoy it?

a mermaid be waiting for you, in mysterious fathoms below
