Aloha my wonderful merfolk!
My favourite time of year is upon us; the Halloween season. I did a similar post to this last year except the big difference to my 2016 post, is that I am going to experience the Halloween season at Disneyland Paris, in person, for the first time. I shall be in Disneyland Paris from the 30th of October till the 3rd of November and I can’t wait. I shall be travelling there with my best friend, Joey, aka, The Slytherin Mermaid.
I am so excited to see the magic of Halloween at it’s finest and spend the spookiest day of the year in my magical second home. Especially sharing this with my best friend.
This blog post is all abut sharing what is happening in Disneyland Paris for the Month of October up until the 2nd of November. All photographs in this blog post are from the InsideDLP twitter account which you can find here.
Firstly, let’s see what the decorations across the park look like this year.
It’s pumpkins galore in Disneyland Paris this year and I love it. I love the pumpkin people and I love the giant pumpkins in Central Plaza.
The ghost people of Main Street USA have also returned this year with plenty on the ground for photo opportunities. Can’t wait to get photographs of my own with these spooky residents!
I love the cut little street light decorations that Disney have started to do. It’s the little details that show just how much they care. Maleficents brambles are back in Castle Courtyard as well. I can’t wait to get so many photographs of this beautiful decoration. Although a lot of Frontierland is covered in fences and tarp, including the gates, there are still decorations up. Like I said above, it’s the little things.
Again, Disney Village is decorated for Halloween with pumpkins, ghosts and cauldrons.
There are so many meet and greets this year. Some new and some the same as last year. The new ones are such fabulous choices and the returning characters are favourites of everyone.
New characters you can meet this year are the Cheshire Cat and Daisy Duck. Personally, I am very excited about meeting both of these.
It wouldn’t be Halloween without our favourite Villains. This year, new signs have been added to the Villains usual meet and greet spots across Adventureland and Fantasyland. I’ve already met the Queen of Hearts on my last trip, but I can’t wait to meet her again.
Jack Skellington returns to Frontierland and this is the meet and greet I am most excited for. I cannot wait to meet my Pumpkin king! Marie returns to Main Street USA, this time sporting a beautiful orange bow. Goofy’s Bon Bon Stop has moved to Fantasyland this year. Minnie has moved from her costume corner on Main Street USA to join her main man, Mickey Mouse, in Frontierland. Stitch also returns to costume corner, swapping out with Daisy over the course of the day.
Parades and Shows
The Halloween Cavalcade returns this year, as does the Good To Be Bad Villains show at Castle Stage. I can’t wait to see both of these in person. I’ve watched them so many times on YouTube and they just get more and more amazing. I can’t wait to hear Vive La Vie every day and dance around with my favourite villains.
