#Blogmas Day 20: My Top 5 Christmas Movies!

Aloha my wonderful merfolk!

Last week I shared with you my top 5 favourite Disney Christmas movies. This week, I thought I would go broader and share with you my top 5 favourite Christmas movies. This time, no Disney movies will be included.

5. National Lampoons Christmas Vacation

I didn’t see this movie until a few years ago, but it’s such a fun movie. Accomodating extended family could always be seen as a hassle or a chore or stress inducing and this film captures it perfectly. All of the worries of Christmas rolled into one hilarious movie.

4. The Grinch

Jim Carey; what else do I need to say? Oh, Taylor Momsen is in it too. I love this movie and Carey has some wonderful lines in it as the titular character.

3. Christmas with the Kranks

This was another movie I didn’t see until a few years ago but it quickly rose up into my top movies. Its such a fun movie and really does make me laugh at times.

2. Miracle on 34th Street

I didn’t see this movie until I was a bit older but it’s such a wonderful, heart-warming movie. It really makes you feel good and warm inside.

1. Gremlins

This film is another Christmas tradition of mine. I always watch this movie with my mam at Christmas time. Gizmo is the most adorable thing ever.

What are your top 5 Christmas movies? Are any of them in my list above? Put them in the comments down below!

  1. The only one I haven’t seen on this list is Christmas with the Kranks so I need to watch that! I love Gremlins, it’s such a cute film, and is such a nostalgic one too. The Grinch is one of my favourites as well, and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is brilliant, so funny, always has me laughing – just shows how mad families get at Christmas time. – Tasha
