Aloha my wonderful merfolk!
As of the beginning of November, it has been extremely cold. December is of course known for being in the midst of winter, so why not do a tag to celebrate this? No matter how cold it gets, or how much snow falls, winter is up there as my second favourite season.
After a quick Google search, I came across this Winter Tag created by Kimberly over at Kimberley’s Beauty Blog. I shall post the rules and the tag questions below.
– Answer the 12 questions.
– Tag fellow bloggers; they can be anyone you want.
– Let the bloggers know you nominated them.
What are your favourite things about Winter?
I love the baggy, oversized jumpers, wearing boots, getting cosy under a duvet, drinking hot drinks like hot chocolate. I also like that it includes Christmas and the run up where everything is festive and sparkling.
What is your favourite Winter outfit?
Black skinny jeans, knee high boots and a big jumper. For outside, a coat, scarf and a hat.
What is your favourite Winter food?
This year I’m excited to try a vegetarian version of my favourite winter meal; Christmas dinner!
Favourite Winter drink?
Seeing as I can’t have cinnamon as I’m allergic, I have to go boring and say white hot chocolate.
What is your dream way to spend a Winter’s day?
In front of a large log fire, in the Sequoia Lodge hotel in Disneyland Paris, surrounded by the giant Christmas trees and all of the Christmas decorations.
How do you like to do your make-up in the Winter?
My make-up in winter is exactly the same as it always is; pale skin, black eyeliner, dark lips.
What are you hoping Santa brings you?
It’s a pretty big present this year but a new television for my room. The one I have currently is fine, but is rather small and hard to see from my bed, so a bigger television means less squinty.
What are the first three things that remind you of Winter?
Dark evenings, German markets and snow.
What is your favourite Winter song?
I love all Christmas songs if I’m honest but Fairytale of New York has to be my ultimate favourite Christmas song.
What is your favourite Winter memory?
When I was a small child and prior to marriage in the family, Christmas Eve would consist of my mam, my auntie and myself. We’d all have new Christmas pyjamas, we’d get a take-away, we’d watch Christmas or Disney films. My auntie would put my hair into lots of little plaits so that it would be wavy the next morning. I would have a ‘white wine’ spritzer (that was 99% lemonade), then I’d put out the cider (my mam always said that Santa got bored of port and whiskey and preferred something fruitier) and mince pie for Santa, with a carrot for Rudolph. I’d then go to bed and wake up on Christmas morning to my family, presents and of course, missing food and drink.
What is your favourite Winter scent?
Again, a lot of Christmas scents involve cinnamon so I can’t stand them. I like dark berries though and for me, that’s wintery enough.
Finish this sentence… If I could have one wish this Christmas it would be…
My friends and family to be happy, safe, and healthy.
