My Meet With Captain Hook

Aloha my wonderful merfolk!

On my most recent trip to Disneyland Paris, I pretty much doubled my character meet number. I felt like due to good planning, I managed to fit in quite a lot of character meets and I’m so happy for that.

As it’s Peter Pan week, I thought I would talk about my meet with Captain Hook during Halloween.

Captain Hook was meeting in Adventureland near Pirates of the Caribbean during the Halloween season; this would usually be where Peter Pan and friends would meet.

We didn’t wait too long in the queue to meet Captain Hook, which is always a great thing. On saying hello, Hook asked for my hand so he may be a Gentleman and give it a kiss. Instead of kissing my hand, he completely fobbed me off and went across to Joey, taking her hand and kissing it. I expressed how hurt I was and so, he took my hand and gave it a sympathy kiss.

We got our photos taken and went to say goodbye. We got one more hug each and turned to walk away. As we did that, Captain Hook gestured to his heart and then pointed at Joey; showing off his love for her. It became a running joke of the holiday that Captain Hook was Joeys boyfriend. Everytime we saw Hook or his merchandise.

I love meeting the Villains. They’re my favourite characters in Disney movies and to be able to meet them is just great. Halloween is a great time for this and I can’t wait to go back to Disneyland and meet them all again.

Hopefully on my next trip, I can meet Peter, Wendy or Smee and add to my Peter Pan character count.

  1. Awww, this is just so cute! I love that the Disney Characters really put on a shame and interact with everyone so nicely. The bit where you said he pointed to his heart and gestured at Joey was cute too. I think meeting the villains over Halloween is lots of fun too, never a better time for it! – Tasha
