My Meet With Cruella De Vil

Aloha my wonderful merfolk!

In April 2016, I went back to Disneyland Paris for the first time in almost ten years. It was a wonderful trip full of beautiful weather, wonderful shows, rides and character meets. I have such fond memories of this trip. One, was my meet with Cruella De Vil; my first ever villain meet.

Today, I want to share the story.

During my visit to Disneyland Paris for Swing into Spring, there were many roaming characters around for you to meet. A lot of these were in Frontierland. This was due to Phantom Manor being closed due to an accident. My favourite ride being closed for my entire trip made me sad but it was what it was and I fully understood why the ride was closed to guests. To compensate for the closed attraction, character were out meeting guests by the manor gates.

Thanks to my friends tweeting me and sending me messages, i found out that on one of these days, Cruella was meeting guests. I love all of the Disney villains and so an opportunity to meet one of them out of Halloween season was amazing. We rushed over to Frontierland and stood with the crowd; there was no queue as it was a random roaming meet. Cruella wasn’t there and we assumed we had missed her. We had begun to walk away to find something else to do and we heard the crowd start to cheer; Cruella had returned!

I didn’t stand for too long before Cruella picked me out of the crowd. She told me she liked my outfit and that black was her favourite colour too. She asked me if I liked Dogs, I said yes and she told me she did too, but only to wear as a fur coat. I couldn’t help but disagree with her on that one.

We then posed for a photograph and said woof woof.

At Halloween I didn’t get to meet Cruella again but I did get to see her many times during the Villains show and during the Soiree Cavalcade.

I will always enjoy meeting the Disney villains.

Have you ever met Cruella before?

a mermaid be waiting for you, in mysterious fathoms below
