Aloha my wonderful merfolk!
I was nominated by the wonderful Jamie over at Once Upon A Blog for the Blogger Recognition Award. Thank you for nominating me! I love doing tags and I am always appreciative of being nominated for things like this. It makes me remember there are people who read my blog and my writing is liked by people. So thank you again Jamie!

- Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog
- Write a post to show your award

- Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers
- Select 15 other bloggers you want to give this award to
- Comment on each blog and let them know you have nominated them and provide a link to the post you created.
How my blog started:
My blog started in September 2015. I used to love writing and wanted a new medium to express love for my interests and to share them with other people. I wasn’t sure whether blogging was the right place for me but a good friend convinced me that I should go for it and share my interests with other people. It could open doors and allow me to make new friends and share my interests with people who also love them. She even helped me come up with the name for my blog as I am awful with creating names. My first blog post was about alternative Disney phone cases and I enjoyed the researching aspect and the writing part. My first massive blog post came in the form of a memorial post for Debbie Constantino; an EVP specialist who was caught up in a domestic situation with her estranged husband and murdered. She featured in one of my favourite television shows, Ghost Adventures. I felt sad when I heard the news and knew I wanted to read about it. You can read the post here.
Advice to new bloggers:
Write about what you love: If you don’t, it’s incredibly obvious. There are a few of my blogs posts I haven’t been 100% happy with, purely because they were forced. They might have been about a topic I enjoy such as fashion or the alternative community, or even Disney which my blog is now dedicated to, but they didn’t feel natural. Make sure you’re enjoying writing. If you force it, it reads forced. People want to know you’re happy and enjoying your blog.
You don’t need an expensive camera/light etc: My photographs are taken on my iPhone. At the present time I don’t include flat-lays. I don’t own anything rose gold or marble. Your blog is your own, don’t make it a copy of every other blog out there. Be yourself. If that means taking photographs on your iPhone and using a smaller editing software, do it that way. I currently don’t have time for the semi-professional photoshoots for a blog post. Do your blog your way and don’t let elitests tell you you’re doing it wrong!
