Aloha my wonderful merfolk!
As I’ve mentioned so many times before, whenever I’m in a Disney park, I love meeting characters. Meet and greets fill me with magic and happiness and it’s something I have to do on a trip.
Today, I want to talk about my meet and greet with Winnie the Pooh.
On my Swing into Spring trip 2016, my first trip back to a Disney park in 9 years, I knew I wanted to meet lots of characters. One of these meet and greets on my list was Winnie the Pooh and Friends. At this time, Winnie or his friends were meeting by Plaza Gardens on Main Street USA. Depending on the time of day, you could meet Winnie or one of his friends. I’m assuming this would have been Tigger or Eeyore.
We got into the queue at about 10am, if memory serves right, for a meet that began at 10:30 or 10:45. It was incredibly sunny so the cast member as putting up the parasols as we got there. Although we queued for a while it didn’t feel like we were stood for too long before Winnie the Pooh came out to do his meet and greet. We weren’t too far back in the queue either, so again, we didn’t have to wait long.
I gave our camera to a wonderful English CM who got the lovely photo of me giving Winnie a big hug. I have to say, Winnie does give good hugs. Although Tigger is my favourite character from that franchise, Winnie the Pooh is just as adorable and is a wonderful meet and greet.
I love how Disneyland Paris also include Winnie the Pooh and friends in most of the parades that happen throughout the season. They were included in Magic on Parade, the Halloween Cavalcade and the Christmas Cavalcade. It’s wonderful to see!
I had a lovely meet with Winnie the Pooh and would happily meet him again.
