A 1940s Ratigan Disneybound featuring CollectIf Clothing

Aloha my wonderful merfolk!

Okay so we have the 1930s and the 1970s represented in Disneybounds. We then took a week off and did my usual alternative styled Disneybound. This week, I am back with another Era themed fashion post. This time around, we are visiting the 1940s and creating an outfit inspired by one of my favourite Disney villains; Professor Ratigan!

Today’s Disneybound will feature mainly clothing from CollectIf; a vintage inspired online clothing store. I window shop from here constantly and love the designs they come up with.

First, let’s have a look at the marvellous Professor Ratigan:

Now onto the Disneybound:

First up this pussybow Tura blouse in Ivory. This blouse is £29.50 and comes in a large range of sizes. I paired the blouse with this gorgeous pinifore swing skirt. The moment I saw this skirt I fell in love and it has very swiftly gone onto my wishlist. It is £57 and again, comes in a large range of sizes.

To complete the main body of the Disneybound, I added these Lulu Hun Liza flats. They’re £30.50 and come in both black and red. The final item for the base of the outfit is this wonderful Vanessa hat. This hat will make this outfit look very elegant 1940s.

The first accessory is this patent black handbag from CollectIf Clothing. It comes in Black, Grey and Red; one of each colour for three different Disneybounds. This first jewellery piece will definitely turn a few heads. This is a faux taxidermy rat brooch. This would be pinned to the hat or the blouse. It is from a shop on Etsy called Faux Horrors and it’s £11.89 with shipping from Australia. This shop sells all kinds of weird and wonderful jewellery and accessories.

Ratigan wears a pink and purple cravat but for this outfit, we will take a set of purple beads and a set of pink beads and wear them simultaneously. Either wear one higher if the fastening clip allows it or unclip them, wrap them around one another and wear them entwined.

Next step is of course the nail varnish. Paint all nails but your ring fingers in black. On one hand paint your ring finger pink (freestyle) and on the other paint it purple (need for speed). This matches Ratigans cravat. As you can see, all nail varnish is by Barry M.

a mermaid be waiting for you, in mysterious fathoms below
