My Top 5 Favourite Pocahontas Songs

Aloha my wonderful merfolk!

Pocahontas was one of my favourite Disney films when I was growing up and still to this day, I really enjoy watching it. I think the soundtrack is fantastic. The songs always get stuck in my head and I find myself singing them for days.

Today, I thought I would share with you my top 5 favourite songs from Pocahontas. Why top 5 instead of top 3? There are far too many briliant songs in this movie for me to cut it down to just 3.

28. Pocahontas

5. Steady as the Beating Drum

This song is one of the opening songs from the movie and it is such a good one. I love that during the song it shows Pocahontas’ village and the people going about their daily lives.

1.  Savages

The versions below that I found on YouTube include the original lyrics to the song. These were considered too controversial and were changed fr the lyrics we hear in the movie. This song came first as I always love the powerful, villainous songs in Disney movies. This song gets stuck in my head the moment I hear it and does not leave for a long time.
