Aloha my wonderful merfolk!
The Hunchback of Notre Dame is an incredibly underrated Disney movie. I don’t believe it gets as much love as it truly deserves. Everything about the movie is incredible from start to finish.
One thing I absolutely adore about this movie is the artwork. The backgrounds are so incredibly beautiful and probably get missed by a lot of people as they concentrate on the story. Today, in collaboration with The Frugal Teen, I will discuss the gorgeous backgrounds of the Hunchback of Notre Dame and why I love them so much.

I found these backgrounds on a website by George Taylor. He has many beautiful Disney backgrounds but these two from Hunchback of Notre Dame are just beautiful. This website doesn’t do them justice, so if you want to see how beautiful these backgrounds are, then visit PG Taylor Art.
The attention to detail in this movie is simply outstanding. I had the opportunity to visit Notre Dame when I was a child and I just remember being in awe of how big and beautiful it was. I feel this film captures the beauty perfectly.
The smallest of features are included in the backgrounds. The details in the buildings and the long distance shots. The animators really did do such a good with their attention to detail. The sunrise shot is particularly beautiful, as is the night sky above.
Again, the colours are beautiful. Look how stunning those stained glass windows are? And those statues? I cannot get over how much attention and detail is in the backgrounds of the movie.
The backgrounds of Hunchback of Notre Dame are some of my all time favourite Disney backgrounds. I could happily use one as my background/wallpaper on all devices!
