A Blue Disneybound: Kida

Aloha my wonderful merfolk!

I went to the cinema to see Atlantis and all I can remember is thinking how fantastic it was. My favourite character from the movie was Kida; I wanted to be her. She was strong, independent and she was a princess, something we hadn’t really seen in Disney movies.

As I’m following on my Rainbow Disneybound challenge, I find myself at Blue and of course, it was a no brainer who I was going to create a Disneybound for. One of my favourite princesses from one of the most underrated Disney movies: Kida.

Firstly, let’s have a look at Kida:

Now lets have a look at what I have chosen for my Disneybound:

I found this beautiful blue dress on CollectIf and I feel it’s almost the perfect Atlantis blue Their coloured clothing is very bright and rich, almost a contrast to our their society is less than thriving. In case of colder weather, I found a simple blue cardigan on Amazon.

Although the dress above comes with a belt, I’d choose to swap it out for this pink one, also from CollectIf, in order to represent the pink stripe on Kida’s skirt. I also found this beautiful blue converse in order to make the Disneybound slightly more casual and park day friendly.

For accessories, the first thing I found was this amazing glowing crystal, inspired by the one KIda has in the movie. I found this one on a shop called Fishes Give Kisses on Etsy. I also found these simple gold bracelets at Claires Accessories.

Finally, my make-up choices for this Disneybound. I’ve chosen Barry M Nail Varnish in Damsel and Dragon Fruit. Kida does not appear to wear a lot of make-up so I chose a simply Nude lipstick. However, if you want to glitz up the Disneybound, Barry M do Dazzle Dust in Electric blue. Either pop some on your eyelids or, for a park day, place some on your cheeks in place of highlight/blusher.

a mermaid be waiting for you, in mysterious fathoms below
