Aloha my wonderful merfolk!
For the final post of the week, I am going to share with you my top three songs from Brother Bear. Phil Collins returns for this Disney movie and does not disappoint. The soundtrack for this movie is wonderful and is another reason on a long list of why this movie is extremely disappointed and why it should get more love than it does.
3. No Way Out
Just hearing the first few lines of this song makes me want to cry. It is during this song that Kenai explains what happens to Koda’s mother and it’s absolutely heartbreaking. This is Kenai admitting he has done wrong and that he understands this and wants to make it right.
2. Great Spirits
Great Spirits is a song that features at the beginning of the movie and is sung by Tina Turner, another famous name in the music industry. There is a Phil Collins version which I shall also leave below. This song is feel good and is one of those powerful Disney songs that shapes the movie to come.
1. On My Way
I feel like everyone knows this song from Brother Bear. In the movie, it starts with Koda singing and fades to Phil Collins. This song is happy and bouncy and once I hear it, it’s stuck in my head for a long time afterwards. The scene in the movie that goes with this song i just great and shows the real start of Kenai’s real transformation as a person (or bear).
