My Top 3 Big Hero 6 Characters

Aloha my wonderful merfolk!

As Big Hero 6 is one of my favourite modern Disney films, I thought I would share with you my top three favourite characters from the movie. The movie has so many diverse and wonderful characters that it might be hard to dwindle them down to just three, however, I shall do my best!

49. Big Hero 6

3. Gogo Tomago

Gogo Tomago is a strong and sassy female. She wants to show that women can do anything a man can do or can do things without a mans help. She even goes as far as to use the phrase ‘woman up’ when talking about bucking up and moving on. I really like this. It doesn’t imply that men are stronger and that we need to act like them. She’s a female scientist and when she falls down the first time using her supersuit, she refuses Hiro’s help to get up. She knows she needs to do it herself. Is Gogo a feminist Disney icon? Possibly. For an animated character anyway.

2. Honey Lemon

Honey Lemon is just pure adorable fluff. She’s happy, she’s cheery and she’s always very excited about her science. Which is great. She’s a loving person and always wants to be there for Hiro following his loss of Tadashi. She’s like the big sister we all want. A bright and pink bubbly individual that always makes me feel happy whenever she is on screen.

1. Baymax

Okay, was this one obvious? I feel like this one was obvious. Baymax is one giant adorable ball of air. His mannerisms make me smile every time he appears on screen. The way he helps Hiro through his grief after losing Tadashi and how he explains that those we lose will always be in our hearts. How in the end he sacrifices himself to save Hiro because first and foremost, his job is to provide care for Hiro. From the fist bump to his low battery moment, Bayma is the comic relief we all need.
